Infrastructure development has a major influence on all aspects of life.
It is thus of primary essence that a country like Uganda should have in place a sustainable civil works sector contracting capacity to construct and maintain all the infrastructure.
A sustainable contracting industry implies having a cadre of contractors with the ability to participate competitively and undertake works
effectively with continuous growth and performance to meet current and future needs of the contracting industry.
In uganda, contractors can be categorised basing on three criteria.
(i) area of specialisation
(ii) Capacity
(iii) local VS international
